2024 Dr. Mark Mobius Lecture

• Following a distinguished entrepreneurial career in mobile communications.  Dr. Ibrahim established the Mo Ibrahim Foundation in 2006 to support good governance and exceptional leadership on the African continent.
• Dr Ibrahim is also Founding Chairman of Satya Capital Limited, a private investment firm primarily focussed on Africa.

• Synonymous with emerging and frontier markets investing, Dr. Mobius has a reputation as one of the most successful and influential money managers.
• Dr. Mobius spent more than three decades at Franklin Templeton Investments, most recently as Executive Chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group.

• Ashok Parameswaran is the President and Founder of the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance (EMIA) and a member of the EMIA Board of Directors. EMIA is a New York City-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that enables institutional investors to support good governance, promote sustainable development, and improve investment performance in the governments and companies in which they invest.
• Ashok has over 20 years of experience relating to emerging markets, mostly as an emerging market sovereign debt analyst. He worked with various asset managers, including Invesco, AIG Investments, and Fidelity Management and Research. Ashok was part of an Invesco team that performed in the top third of Bloomberg-listed emerging market peers for four out of five years.
  
  

Jasbeena has been in the investment industry, analyzing international capital markets and securities for over two decades. She was the principal and general partner of Syena Capital Management, based in Greenwich, Connecticut. She managed a thematic-based, high-conviction, global emerging markets portfolio through an active, long-term, and fundamental approach to investing in publicly traded equities. In addition, she co-founded Katsura Asset Management, where she co-managed individual investment portfolios. Before was also a Director at Argonaut Capital Management, responsible for co-managing and directing investment research in a global equities portfolio and contributing to Argonaut’s fund.
